Day 1

Day 1 of Navratri is celebrated in the glory of Goddess Shailputri - the daughter of the king of mountains.  Devotees celebrate her and pray to achieve great heights of consciousness.

Day 2

On the second day, the unmarried form of Goddess Durga, Goddess Brahmacharini is celebrated. She signifies the abundance of knowledge, wisdom, and good behavior.

Day 5

Day 6 of Navratri marks the day of Goddess Katyayani. Devotees seek her blessings to calm their inner turmoil.

Day 7

This day marks the day of Goddess Kalaratri, the most fierce form of Goddess Durga. Devotees invoke her blessings to discover their inner strength.

Day 8

The day of inner beauty and freedom is day 8. Goddess Mahagauri is worshipped on this where devotees ask for peace and compassion. 

Turquoise lenses should be worn on the 8th day of Navratri. 

Day 9

The final day of Navratri celebrates Goddess Siddhidatri. Worshipped for her logical and rational thinking, devotees worship this form of Goddess Durga for ulterior levels of sanity and compassion.
