How old do I have to be to wear contact lenses?
The average age to start wearing contact lenses is between 12 to 15 years; some younger children may be mature enough to wear and care for contact lenses. It depends more on responsibility than age. For best advice, consult an eye care practitioner.
Are contact lenses comfortable to wear?
Contact lenses are easy to put in and remove from your eyes. As a beginner you may sense wearing something in your eyes, but in no time you will get used to it. And, as long as you keep them clean, there is no way for contact lenses to feel uncomfortable to wear.
Can contact lenses get lost behind my eye?
Not a chance. It’s physically impossible for a contact lens to get lost “behind” your eye. A membrane covers your eye and connects to the inside of your eyelids, so the lens is not able to go behind the eyeball .
Will putting contact lenses in my eyes hurt the eyes or get stuck in them?
Relax. Inserting and removing lenses might make you nervous at first, but as awkward as it may seem, there is no need to be afraid to touch your eye as long as your hands are clean. Plus, the inside of your eyelids are connected to the back of your eye, so your lenses can’t possibly slip into an abyss
Can contact lenses fall out of my eyes?
It is unlikely to happen. Contact lenses stay in place with proper fitting. If it ever thelens moves out of place, it tends to stay on your eye until you can move it back.
Are contact lenses good for sports and adventure activities?
Whether you do sport regularly or sporadically, contact lenses are your best choice! Not only will lenses give you more freedom than what you would find with glasses but they also allow for a wider visual field - and of course, a better level of safety. Even if you’re not a frequent contact lens wearer, there’s an option for you. Want to know more?
Can I continue wearing glasses if I start wearing contact lenses?
Of course. You can wear both contact lenses and glasses, alternating for specific activities, needs, or preference. However, contact lenses can be used full-time. The choice is up to you and your eye care practitioner
What’s the difference between daily and monthly disposable lenses?
Daily Disposable contact lenses are used for a day and then thrown away. You don't need a lens solution. Monthly disposable lenses are reused for one month and require cleaning and disinfection everyday. Lens solution is required for its storage and maintenance. However, a shorter replacement cycle, and more frequent use of fresh lenses, is more healthy and comfortable.
